The ongoing Xbox server closures continue to impact a number of games, and next year, three more titles will lose their online functionality. In early 2025, the servers for NCAA Football 14, The Golf Club, and The Golf Club 2 will close, resulting in the discontinuation of several achievements. If you’re currently working through Xbox server closures slated for January 2025, you might want to prioritize these games and start wrapping up your progress.
The The Golf Club and The Golf Club 2 servers will be shut down on February 28, 2025, while the NCAA Football 14 server will close on March 13, 2025. In total, 17 Xbox achievements across these three titles will be discontinued. If you're aiming to complete these games, it’s a good idea to return to them sooner rather than later.
The Golf Club Achievements
Server Shutdown Date: February 28, 2025
Platforms: Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One
HB Studios and 2K Sports have announced that premium currency purchases for The Golf Club will be disabled starting December 20, 2024. After the servers close on February 28, 2025, all online modes will be unavailable, including six online-only achievements. One of these, Explorer, requires playing 100 user-created courses. While this sounds time-consuming, many custom courses have been created with this achievement in mind, making it easier for completionists to tackle. Note that The Golf Club has already been delisted from the Xbox store, so if you don’t own it digitally, you’ll need to pick up a physical copy.
The Golf Club 2 Achievements
Server Shutdown Date: February 28, 2025
Platforms: Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One
Similarly to the original, The Golf Club 2 will also see its servers close on February 28, 2025. The game has been removed from digital storefronts, and premium currency purchases are being disabled. Four online-only achievements will be discontinued, including Participation Medal, which requires competing in a Society Event against at least four other members. Finding active players may be challenging, but you can join or organize gaming sessions with other achievement hunters to ensure you complete these tasks before the servers go dark.
NCAA Football 14 Achievements
Server Shutdown Date: March 13, 2025
Platforms: Xbox 360 (non-backwards compatible)
EA has announced the server closure for NCAA Football 14 on its online services shutdown page. Once the servers close on March 13, 2025, seven online-only achievements will be discontinued. Unfortunately, the game already has one discontinued achievement and one partly discontinued achievement, so if you haven’t unlocked those yet, you won’t be able to complete the full 1,000G. Since NCAA Football 14 is not backwards compatible with newer Xbox consoles, you’ll need to dig out an old Xbox 360 if you want to earn these achievements.
Do you still need achievements from these games before they’re permanently gone? Let us know in the comments. In the meantime, be sure to finish up any remaining progress on the Xbox server closures scheduled for December 2024 before time runs out!
