Mushrooms in ARC Raiders are rare but highly valuable resources. They are mainly used to upgrade the companion Scrappy and can also provide small health recovery, making them especially important for long-term progression. Because mushrooms are small, white, and blend easily into the environment, many players miss them even when walking nearby. They often appear along hillsides, near water, at the base of trees, or around pipes and ruined structures, so careful observation is essential.
Among all maps, Dam Battlegrounds is widely considered the best place to farm mushrooms. The Hydroponic Dome Complex on the western side of the map offers the highest concentration. Inside this area, mushrooms frequently spawn near pipes where water collects, inside planters, and in dark corners of buildings. Just south of the complex, the forested area is another strong location, with mushrooms appearing at the base of trees, near fallen logs, and along natural paths. The swampy western zone can also spawn mushrooms on tree trunks, though visibility is much worse during rainstorms or nighttime raids New expedition requirements arc raiders.
Other maps provide secondary options but are less consistent. Spaceport has a few reliable spawn points in the northern trenches between the East and West Container Yards, especially on trees located south of Little Hangar. Blue Gate includes scattered mushroom spawns near water sources or raider hideouts, but these locations are unpredictable and usually not worth farming unless required for missions. Buried City areas, including Marano Park, are generally considered low-yield zones and are best avoided when specifically hunting mushrooms.
Certain in-game events can greatly improve farming efficiency. Lush Bloom events increase the spawn rate of nature-based resources, including mushrooms, which may appear inside wicker baskets during these events. Since mushrooms respawn with each raid, efficient routing is key. Many players start at the Hydroponic Dome water edges, then move quickly through nearby forest areas, often finding four or more mushrooms in a single fast run. However, Dam Battlegrounds is a high-traffic map, so staying alert to ARC machines and hostile players is critical.
With patience, smart routing, and attention to environmental details, mushrooms can become a reliable resource rather than a frustrating hunt. Mastering these routes not only speeds up Scrappy upgrades but also gives players a steady advantage in the unforgiving world of ARC Raiders.
